WHO ARE WE?
Steven studied mechanical engineering at McGill University. As a PhD candidate in mechanical and biomedical engineering at McGill and École Polytechnique, Steven became more passionate about the potential of translating the effectiveness of bio-systems into industrial innovation and process optimization. And for this purpose he founded his business. In collaboration with industry-leading partners in the agri-food sector, Steven has focused his rigorous analytical spirit on optimizing the operations of his clients who are targeting the growth of their business with quality and ethical products.
Maria holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the École Polytechnique de Montréal. She has developed undeniable skills in modeling and simulation for data analysis purposes including signal processing and optical flow. Maria has helped to improve our understanding of the progression of cardiovascular and orthopedic diseases and the influence of the physical characteristics of circulatory systems on the spatio-temporal distribution of pressures and flow rates. Maria’s research on the interactions of complex multiphysics and biological systems has allowed her to develop a strong intuitive sense of how to think about the effectiveness of large-scale systems. Her artistic penchant gives her the complementary and indispensable strength for the design of solutions as harmonious as rigorous.

Bio-inspired solutions for engineering problems are at the forefront of current technological revolutions. Advances in artificial intelligence and biomimetics, in which new engineering materials and structures are designed to replicate the efficiency of natural phenomena, are elucidating the near-miraculous mechanical and energetic optimization of highly-equilibrated natural systems in all their variants (physiological, biological, etc.).
